Product Design

Ergonomics or Human Factors can be applied to the Product Design Process. David spent several years working for one of the world’s leading Product Design Companies IDEO, where he worked as part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, industrial designers, interaction designers and model makers.

Simply speaking, Ergonomics is there to represent the end user. This ensures that a product is intuitive to use (without having to read the instruction manual), physically fits all the intended users for example reach distances and lines of sight and ultimately creates an enjoyable user experience.

Skills include:
· User requirement analysis including observations and focus groups
· Input into product design concept creation
· User trials and product testing
· Expert evaluation

If you have a need for Human Factors input please contact David to discuss your requirements.
