Osteopathy and Ergonomics

David Annett combines his skills of Osteopathy and Ergonomics to provide consultancy services to reduce work-injuries through workstation evaluation and training. This experience is also applied to Product Design to ensure a product is user friendly from both a physical and cognitive perspective.

Osteopathy

David works mainly at the West Point Practice in Central Leeds, close to the Leeds railway Station, alongside Physiotherapist Vicky Rossington. He also practices one day a week in Central London. (see contact details to the left). He commonly treats sports injuries and work related injuries as well low back, upper back, neck and shoulder problems, sciatica, nerve pain and RSI.

Computer Workstation Assessments and Training

David Annett is a Yorkshire-based Ergonomics consultant, but works regularly in London. He has over 15 years experience, specialising in work-related injuries. Through training, assessment and use of the correct equipment, work-related injury such as Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) can be resolved or prevented in line with the European Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Regulations.

This applies to computer users, manual workers and all work areas. Good training and assessments can not only prevent injuries, but also improve user comfort and job satisfaction, increase productivity and reduce absenteeism. David’s Osteopathic skills mean he is able to give advice to people who are suffering from any discomfort, to help them reduce their symptoms and return to work as soon as possible.
