David has just returned from the Modern Pentathlon World Championships in Rome where he was working with the British team.  They had a fantastic result with Mhairi Spence winning the Gold Medal and Samantha Murray winning Bronze.  This guarantees their Olympic places for London 2012.  Mhairi and Samantha along with Heather Fell won the women’s team Gold Medal – it is 11 years since Great Britain has had a World Champion in this event.   Nick Woodbridge acheived a respectable 10th position in the Men’s competition.
